According to the different working principles, it can be divided into self-operated thermostats and electric heating thermostats.
1. Self-operated temperature control valve
Self-operated heating temperature control valve is mainly composed of valve body, valve core, valve seat, conditioning sleeve (conditioning screws), reset spring, etc. When hot water enters the valve body, the temperature change of the temperature-sensitive element in the valve core is used to actively control the opening of the valve, close or actively adjust the opening of the valve, so as to achieve the intention of actively controlling the return water discharge temperature.高阻力恒温阀-玉环埃德信阀门
自力式暖气温控阀设备于供热体系每组散热器的回水支管上，当铜铝复合暖气片内回水温度到达规划回水温度，阀门主动敞开，回水经过。当散热器的回水温度高于规划回水温度，阀门开度主动变小，直致封闭。这样即便采暖体系各环路由于规划或施工导致体系平衡失调，依靠自力式温控流量调理阀的操控功用，也可使其主动趋向平衡。
自力式暖气温控阀设有调理套(调理螺钉)用来调整排放回水的温度，顺时针旋转调理，排水温度下降，反之则排水温度升高。
2、电动式暖气温控阀
是由温度操控器、电热执行器、阀门(阀体)构成。运用时温度操控器设备在房间内墙墙壁上，能充分感应房间温度的当地，由电缆线与电热执行器衔接，电热驱动器与阀门衔接。用户依据采暖需要，将室内的需要温度在温度操控器上进行设置;当房间温度到达设定温度是，电热执行器内正温度系数热敏电阻开端作业，加热热胀大设备，是阀门封闭;反之，室内温度下降，温控器断开，执行器降温，胀大设备缩短，阀门翻开。由此对房间温度进行按需操控，到达节省用热的意图。
按照外观结构分为三通温控阀、二通温控阀，通常家里运用二通的即可，一边接入暖气片管道，一边接入暖气片;依照其视点分，可分为90度角阀和直阀;设备其口径巨细分，可分为4分口径、6分口径，还有1寸口径;依照其作业方法来分，可分为智能主动温控阀，手动温控阀。然后结合起来，有多种类型的，用户依据自个暖气片口径、设备方法和其他条件来选购适宜自家运用的温控阀。
暖气片规范装备是一组暖气片设备2个温控阀，但当前都是一组暖气片一个温控阀，有流量操控阀，所以，只需要一个温控阀调理温度也行。暖气片温控阀上面有5个刻度，0—5，能够依据自个的舒适度恰当调理。
