1. The stop valve is mainly used to cut off the medium, adjust and throttle. Because the stroke between opening and closing of the valve flap is small, and the sealing surface can withstand multiple opening and closing, it is suitable for occasions requiring frequent opening and closing;
2. The globe valve has a simpler structure than the gate valve and is more convenient to manufacture and maintain;
3. The sealing surface is not easy to wear and scratch, and has good sealing performance. There is no relative sliding between the valve flap and the sealing surface of the valve body during opening and closing, so the wear and scratch are not serious, the sealing performance is good, and the service life is long;
4. When opening and closing, the flap stroke is small, and the maximum opening height is generally only 25%-30% of the diameter of the seat channel, so it is much smaller than the gate valve. Therefore, the height of the stop valve is smaller than that of the gate valve, but the structural length is longer than that of the gate valve.
5. The opening and closing torque is large, the opening and closing is difficult, and the opening and closing time is principal;
6. The fluid resistance is high. Because the medium channel in the valve body is tortuous, the fluid resistance is high and the power consumption is high.
