At present, there are more than 6000 valve companies in my country, of which 900 have an annual output value of more than 5 million yuan. There are 3 domestically listed valve companies, namely China Nuclear Technology, Hongcheng Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Pearl. Last year, CNNC's main business income was 235 million yuan, Hongcheng's main business income was 146 million yuan, and Guangdong Pearl's main business income was 150 million yuan. These companies, whether in terms of their scale or product quality, are currently unable to compete with similar foreign companies.
HVAC valves account for a considerable proportion of mechanical products. According to statistics from developed foreign countries, the output value of valves is the sum of compressors, fans and pumps, accounting for about 5% of the output value of the entire machinery industry. At the same time, as an important part of major technical equipment, especially in power, petrochemical, metallurgical, and urban water supply and drainage systems, valves play a key role, and the amount is very large.
Industry insiders analyzed that there are two main reasons for the current passivity of my country's valve market: First, there is still a gap between the ratio of domestic valve products and imported products, and the quality needs to be improved; second, some users are not aware of localization and even artificially set thresholds, making it difficult for domestic companies to win the bid when bidding with foreign companies.
Relevant experts require that the valve industry should vigorously adopt international standards and advanced foreign standards, strictly implement existing national standards, and reform existing products so that updated products can reach the international level of the 1990s. At the same time, the valve industry should take effective measures in the selection of raw materials, casting process, forging process, heat treatment and other aspects of castings and forgings, so that the intrinsic quality and appearance quality of castings and forgings can reach the international level.
Looking at the domestic valve market, the valve industry has extensive development space. According to relevant experts, the future market of valves will mainly be in the power industry, petrochemicals, fertilizer, environmental protection and urban construction industries. They asserted that whoever has good technology, excellent quality, and continuous development of new products will be able to seize the lead and stand out in the fierce market competition.
