Floor heating design

Floor heating is being used more and more widely, and its good application is deeply influenced by the original floor heating design. Today, Xiaofang will talk to you about three key points that need to be paid attention to in floor heating design: floor heating coil spacing, coil length and main pipe flow design for your reference!
The spacing between floor heating coils needs to be moderate

The spacing between floor heating coils is mainly determined by multiple factors such as the room heat load, the temperature difference between supply and return thermometers, the thickness of the insulation layer and the thickness of the decorative surface layer, so comprehensive consideration is needed during design. Many installers adjust the spacing between coils at will, which not only wastes energy but also affects the heating and heat dissipation effect. The layout of coils should be compatible with the heat load distribution of the room, that is, in places with high heat load such as external walls, the coils should be relatively dense; while the center load of the area in the room is small, the spacing between coils should be larger. In this way, the indoor temperature can be uniform, air convection can be reduced, air quality can be improved, and the floor heating effect can be exerted.

The length of floor heating coil should be designed reasonably

As we all know, the construction operation of floor heating must strictly abide by relevant procedures and specifications. The length of each loop of the floor heating coil is related to the automatic control system of the floor heating. For systems equipped with a differential pressure balancing device, the length of each loop of the coil can differ significantly. As long as the resistance loss does not exceed the pressure head provided by the water pump, it can be completely achieved. Control in compartments. For systems that do not have differential pressure balancing devices installed, the loop lengths must be close. The imbalance rate of parallel loops of the same system should be controlled within 15%. For example: Suppose that the longest L = 90m, then the shortest L =90-90×15%=76.5m. A large number of engineering practices have shown that "controlling the imbalance rate within 15%" can not only achieve relative resistance balance in design, but also facilitate chamber control.

Moderate flow design of main floor heating pipe

The design of the main pipeline flow rate of floor heating should not only meet the minimum water flow rate requirements of floor heating coils, but also be determined by the heating heat load and the temperature difference between supply and return water. The maximum value of the two should be selected. If the approved water flow rate is based on the heating load and the temperature difference between supply and return water, it will cause the phenomenon of air blockage and lack of heating. The fundamental reason is that insufficient flow causes damage to the system circulation, so the design time must reach above the minimum water flow rate of the floor heating coil to ensure the later heating effect.
